The Iowa Primary Care Association is actively recruiting a general dentist for a community health center, also called a federally qualified health center, in Marshalltown, Iowa.


Position Details:


Eligible for student loan repayment up to $50,000 for two years of service (and eligible to renew)

Clinic Hours: Monday – Friday; 8 AM – 5PM

Average # Patients seen per day: 13 + additional hygiene checks.

Current Staff: 2 general dentists and 2 registered dental hygienists. DA:DDS ratio = 2.5:1

Evenings/weekends: none

Call: After 6 months of employment, dentists are expected to take call in 2 week increments, approximately 3x/year. This is after hours call, over the phone only.

EHR: Epic Wisdom

Beautiful space with 12 operatories, brand new in 2022! Multiple tenured dental staff with many bilingual in Spanish. It is a family atmosphere where everyone helps one another, and potlucks are plentiful!


Requirements

Current license to practice dentistry in the state of Iowa.

Current registration with the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and Iowa Board of Pharmacy Examiners (CSA).

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers Certification recognized by the American Heart Association.

Current Mandatory Reporter Training: Child and Dependent Adult Abuse recognized by the Iowa Department of Public Health.


Ideal Qualifications:

Bilingual in English/Spanish

Desire to pursue a long-term career in community health

GPR or AEGD residency completion

Interest and experience in pediatric dentistry and oral surgery


Benefits

Your experience and skills determine your base pay. The hiring range for this position is typically $150,000 - 170,000, though highly experienced candidates may earn up to $204,000 per year.
