OPTION 1: HEALTH CENTER WITH NO CURRENT DENTAL SERVICES
Resources | OHI Toolkit
There are two strategies that health centers that do not have current dental services can utilize for adding dental services: New Start-Ups and Contracting for Dental Services.
Contracting for Dental Services
Health centers that do not currently have on-site dental services and are unable to build-out a brick and mortar dental clinic, may consider contracting with outside dental providers to provide access to dental care services.
New Start-Ups
The most common strategy for adding dental services for health centers that do not currently offer dental services is to build-out a brick and mortar dental clinic that will offer direct services.
